What Happens in our Meetings?
Our lodge meetings are principally made up of two parts, the general business of the meeting, and the ceremony.
The business of the meetings is approving minutes, propose and ballot for new members, receive news about members who are absent, and new about fundraising and donations.
The ceremony will include such matters as the admittance of new members, installation of the Master of the Lodge and his Officers, and the progression of members through the stages of Freemasonry, the ‘Three Degrees’.
In the First Degree, Freemasons are taught about equality and their responsibility to look out for those who are less fortunate. In the Second Degree, self-development of the Freemason’s character is the core, and in the Third Degree, the Freemason is taught to focus on using ‘life’ wisely, leaving behind testimonies on your character, being remembered for the right reasons.
Masonry is a fraternal ‘brotherhood’, developing a sense of togetherness and friendship. We volunteer both inside and outside Freemasony and our lodges.
All Freemasons are taught to follow our Masonic Values of Integrity, Friendship, Respect, and Service.
